Which Path Will You Choose?

Writer: Peter McLeanPeter McLean

Jesus said something incredibly startling in his Sermon On The Mount,

“Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it." - Matthew 7:13-14

It's not what you think of when it comes to life. "Actually, I'm good", is what most people say when it comes to choices of belief. Many Christians even think they're okay if they just "Follow their heart".

But here, following his enormously powerful instruction on the life of faith and works that His true disciples must pursue, Christ paints the picture that we have a stark choice - the path to destruction or the path to life. And there is only one path which will admit you to life.

What path is that?

The fact is, we come across many people who think they have determined that path, that they have "done their research" or watched some YouTube material or even read for themselves and sorted themselves out with regards to life and have it all worked out, but they are not even remotely on the right path. They've deceived themselves as to where they are and the direction they are headed. That direction is clearly the broad path, but most of the time, of course, they don't even see it.

The reality is that direction is either down to destruction or upward to life. But there's no way for them to work it out themselves.

Join us tomorrow (Saturday 18 Januar) as we explore Jesus' saying in-depth. At Living Waters Church of God, you'll find a church of believers dedicated to entering through that narrow gate. In pursuit of that goal, our preaching and teaching is also dedicated to the fine balance of truth in Jesus' ministry, the teaching of His Apostles and the fully inspired text of all the Law, The Prophets and the Writings which pointed the way to Jesus Christ and the true path to eternal life.

Which path will you take?

Come learn more tomorrow, so you can decide to follow the way in both word and action. Our service starts at 10 am.
