All you men out there, let me ask you a direct question: "Do you want to build a family and a legacy that will last? Will you build a household that will last?"
Most of us spend a great deal of time wondering and fretting the details on our houses - what are they built of, can we find a good spot, will it accommodate our families, will it be a peaceful place, can I afford the mortgage (!) and will it last?
But let me be direct: Most of you men who might read this do not have a clue when it comes to building that home that will thrive and last. Building a house is not the same thing. An idiot - a fool - would build a house that will fall down as soon as bad weather comes. But most of you are not building homes that will last with the first little storm of life. It will all come apart.
Well, you and I know the stats. Here, in Western Australia, how many guys do you know whose lives and families have fallen apart? Their kids are a mess. Their relationship with their partner is terrible. There is constant trouble on the home front. It's rare to find a guy who has it all together.
And even if that home life is okay, here's an even more serious question: What do you do when serious illness strikes? Who do you turn to when a loved one unexpectedly gets horribly ill? The government?! Friends whose lives are also down the gurgler or who don't know?
Even MORE importantly: How do you deal with someone dying? What about your own death?
Have you seriously considered what happens after this life?
We have a crisis not only in Australia, but around the globe: A crisis with men. Because they've stopped thinking about what will happen with their lives into their later years and, more importantly, what will happen AFTER THIS LIFE!!
Men are facing a crisis: An extreme lack of courage. A lack of courage to say, "I don't know" and to be prepared to find out the answer. A lack of courage to hear what God has to say to them about their lives. And then a lack of courage to respond and do what He says.
What's the answer to this crisis?
Do we have an answer for you? An answer to the question: "How can I build a life, a permanent dwelling place of peace and safety, that will last not just through the trials of life, but for all time?"
Well, if you're man enough, come hear the answer. We'll be giving it at our church, Living Waters Church of God, on Saturday 15 Feb 2025. The service is at 10 am at Ellenbrook Christian College.
It's time for men with the courage to hear the truth to hear it!
