2024-04-13
EXODUS 6; HEBREWS 11:23-29
PETER MCLEAN
Moses' prayers lead to the revelation of Jesus Christ Himself - this is reflected throughout the Torah that Moses wrote, including specific details of the plan of Salvation detailed in the Old Testament Biblical Festivals. The Passover is one of those key Festivals
Be Perfect? Impossible! | Matthew 5:48
2024-03-09
MATTHEW 5:48
PETER MCLEAN
"Be perfect as your Father in Heaven is perfect!" These words from Jesus cause either deep consternation or instant dismissal in the minds of people who read or hear the words. People tend to think it's either impossible or they are perfect just the way they are, thank you very much. But seeing the intended meaning of Jesus' command gets to the heart of the Gospel and the Kingdom of God.
God's Secret Treasure - "When You Pray" | Matthew 6:5-6
2024-03-30
MATTHEW 6:5-6
PETER MCLEAN
Have you ever considered why prayer is important and valuable from God's point of view?
Understanding why Jesus said our prayers should be private and in secret shows us the loving nature of the treasured prayers between the saints and God.
The Great Love Story of Ruth and Boaz - Marriage, Adultery & Divorce, Part II | Matthew 5:31-32
2024-01-13
MATTHEW 5:31-32
PETER MCLEAN
Great marriages are difficult to achieve, but from the pages of the Bible we can learn so much about the value and purpose of great marriages. The story of Ruth and Boaz is one of the greatest love stories from its pages, a story which also clearly points to the love of God for His people and to Jesus Christ who is the promised bridegroom of the Church.
Whoever Is Little Forgiven, Little Loves | Luke 7:36-50
2024-04-20
LUKE 7:36-50
PETER MCLEAN
How lavish is your love for Christ? A "Sinful Woman" anointed Jesus' feet early in His ministry. The anointing was repeated just before His death, similar to His washing of His disciples at The Lord's Passover meal.
Jesus said: "Whoever is little forgiven, little loves". How much do we realise what we have been forgiven and therefore how much shall we love? A message for the Passover and Lord's Supper season.
Giving - The Secret Key To Spiritual Life | Matthew 6:1-4
2024-03-23
MATTHEW 6:1-4
PETER MCLEAN
Jesus instructs His followers to not do their righteous deeds for show but in secret, giving us 3 main areas of our spiritual walk with God - giving, prayer and fasting. Prayer and fasting gains a lot of attention, but giving to the poor and needy is sadly neglected and even ignored!
From Victimhood to Victory - "Turn the Other Cheek" | Matthew 5:38-42
2024-02-17
MATTHEW 5:38-42
PETER MCLEAN
Jesus Christ came to bring us a radical way out of the endless cycle of spite and retaliation in our lives, by changing our entire moral reasoning, social action and spiritual lives.
The phrases Jesus used have become part of the world's everyday language: "Turn the other cheek" and "Go the extra mile". And they are either misunderstood, misinterpreted or plain ignored. What did He mean by these instructions when we are wronged?
The Love of God - Hosea & Gomer - Marriage, Adultery & Divorce, Part III | Matthew 5:31-32
2024-01-20
MATTHEW 5:31-32
PETER MCLEAN
What can we do when a marriage involves adultery and immorality? How would God respond to that kind of situation? The Prophet Hosea (equivalent to the name "Jesus") went through one of the most intimate experiences expressed in Scripture with his wife Gomer, who left him to be a prostitute.
